Moss Landing
Location Description

Moss Landing is a small fishing village located at the mouth of Elkhorn Slough, and provides great starting point for our intermediate and advanced kayak classes in the Monterey Bay. The twin 500 foot cooling towers of the Moss Landing Power Plant can be seen from miles around, and provide a landmark for the town. The Moss Landing harbor provides a protected area to begin your paddle and practice skills, but the adventure really begins when you exit out through the breakwater into the bay. You quickly get more comfortable with your craft, and learn that paddling in swells can be a liberating and thrilling experience.
