Elkhorn Slough
Location Description

Elkhorn Slough is located in the heart of Monterey Bay, and boasts hundreds of different species of birds, fish and other wildlife. A trip to Elkhorn virtually guarantees viewing of harbor seals, otters, pelicans, and many other animals, making it our most popular kayak tour location. The Slough itself is a coastal tidal marsh, with plenty of protected paddling for first-timers or experienced paddlers alike. A trip through Rubis creek will get you close to over 340 species of birds, 400 plant species, and surprise you with it’s twists and turns. Whether you are winding your way through narrow tidal channels, or gliding past hundreds of seals resting in the sun, your day exploring Elkhorn Slough will surely be a memorable one.
